Autumn Whispers

A poem about the quiet transformation of autumn.

Autumn Whispers

Leaves descend in amber light, Silent dancers taking flight. Crisp the air, the earth releases Summer's ghost in golden fleeces.

Footsteps echo on the lane, Mist dissolves in morning rain. Every breath a fragile glass Shatters as the moments pass.

Trees undress with quiet grace, Baring branches, time and space Etched in rings of what has been— Winter waits behind the green.
